Lumko helps organisations use technology to solve real problems, improve operations and build better ways of working. We bring together the people, technology and expertise each problem needs, and we stay involved as the organisation grows.

Lumko is a business technology partner based in Bloemfontein, in South Africa’s Free State. We work across software engineering, ICT and IT infrastructure, data and analytics, systems integration and hardware-integrated solutions.

Organisations rarely have a problem that fits one specialism. A new system touches infrastructure. A data project depends on field capture. A tracking project starts with hardware. We are set up to handle all of it, and to give our clients one relationship and one point of accountability while we do.

We are deliberately not a cheap development shop or a reseller of products. We are most useful where the problem is serious, the environment is demanding and the organisation wants a partner for the long term.

Five principles behind every engagement.

  1. Understand before recommending

    We start with how the organisation actually works: its people, processes, constraints and risks. Only then do we talk about technology.

  2. Solve the whole problem

    Software, infrastructure, data and devices are planned together, so they work as one system rather than as parts from different suppliers.

  3. Practical over impressive

    We choose proven technology that fits the budget, the environment and the people who will use it. Sometimes the right answer is a smaller change.

  4. Build to hand over

    Documentation, testing, training and clean handover are part of the work. Your organisation should never be locked out of its own systems.

  5. Stay involved

    We support and improve what we deliver, and we stay accountable for it after go-live.

We do the work ourselves. When a problem calls for deeper specialist expertise in infrastructure, data or hardware, we bring in trusted professionals from a growing network and work alongside them, so you deal with one team throughout.
